Most Seniors Start This Essay in October, and Regret It

Right now, nothing is due. No homework, no tests, no deadlines. It is the only stretch of the year with room to think.

Four mornings is enough to learn what admissions readers look for, and to find the material worth writing about before anyone has to write it.

Wait, and the most personal thing you will ever submit gets written at 11pm in October, between homework and a deadline, guessing at what they want.

Four mornings

What We'll Cover

Ninety minutes each morning. You write, you get read, you revise.

What You Get

You walk out with a draft, not notes about a draft.

        Questions

What does my student need to bring?
A laptop and whatever they have written so far, even if that is nothing. Most students arrive with nothing, which is fine. That is what day one is for.
What if we miss a morning?
Come to the rest. Each day builds on the one before, so we would rather have you for three than none, and we will catch you up.
Will someone write the essay for my student?
No, and that matters more than it used to. Admissions readers are actively looking for essays that sound like a real seventeen year old. We work on getting your student's actual voice onto the page and making it sharp. The words stay theirs.
My student is a rising junior. Can they come?
This one is built for the class applying this fall, so the pacing would be off. Email us and we will point you toward something that fits.
        What is the refund policy?
        Is there parking?
Yes, Huntington Village has municipal lots a short walk from Green Street. Give yourself a few extra minutes the first morning.
