These terms apply to the College Essay Bootcamp and to this website, both operated by ("we," "us"). By registering, you agree to them.
The College Essay Bootcamp is a four-session in-person workshop held , , at , . Tuition is and covers all four sessions and daily breakfast.
Sessions are led by the instructors named on the registration page. We may substitute an equally qualified instructor if circumstances require it.
The workshop is designed for rising high school seniors applying to college in the upcoming cycle. Students under 18 must be registered by a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for the registration and for payment.
Tuition is due at registration and is processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card number. A seat is confirmed only once payment has been completed.
If we cancel the workshop for any reason, you will receive a full refund. If a single session is cancelled or rescheduled, we will offer a make-up session or a proportional credit.
Missed sessions are not refundable. Each day builds on the one before, and we encourage attendance at all four, but partial attendance does not change the tuition.
We teach, coach, and give feedback on college application essays. Students write their own work. We do not write, ghostwrite, or substantially author any part of a student's application, and we will not do so on request. Submitting work that is not the student's own may violate the policies of the colleges they apply to, and that risk is the applicant's.
We make no guarantee of admission, scholarship, or any other outcome. Admissions decisions are made by colleges based on many factors outside our control or influence.
The workshop is hosted at a working retail business. Participants are expected to treat the space, the staff, and one another with respect. We may remove a participant whose behavior disrupts the session or the venue, without refund. The venue is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the workshop.
We may take occasional photographs during sessions for our own promotional use. Tell us in writing before the first session if you would prefer your student not appear in them, and we will honor that.
If you check the SMS box at registration, you consent to receive text messages from us about this workshop, such as schedule reminders and day-of logistics.
Students keep all rights to the essays and other writing they produce. Sharing a draft with us for feedback grants us permission to read and comment on it for that purpose only. We do not publish, reuse, or share student writing without written permission.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the workshop is limited to the tuition you paid. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
We may update these terms. The version posted here at the time you register is the one that applies to your registration.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
