This policy explains what ("we," "us") collects through this website, why, and what we do with it. We keep it short because the answer is short.
When you register for the College Essay Bootcamp, we collect:
Payment is handled by our third-party payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
Our website may collect basic technical information such as pages visited, so we know whether the page is working. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.
Only the service providers we need to run the workshop: our payment processor, our email and customer-management system, and our website host. They may only use it to provide those services to us.
Mobile opt-in data and SMS consent are never sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Your phone number stays with us.
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law.
Registrations for students under 18 are made by a parent or guardian, who provides the student's information. We use it only to run the workshop. Essays and other writing a student shares with us are used solely to give feedback, and are never published or shared without written permission.
Text reminders are optional and off by default. If you opt in, reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them, or HELP for help. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase. See our Terms of Service for the full SMS program details.
We will still send messages necessary to run a workshop you have registered and paid for.
As long as needed to run the workshop and to keep records we are required to keep, or until you ask us to delete it.
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will respond. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law.
We use reputable providers and take reasonable measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If we update this policy, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
